Accessible Services Social Media Toolkit

Social media is a critical advocacy tool around the world. Elevating the voices of people with disabilities and the issues important to them is critical in changing the conversations had at the dinner table to the halls of Parliament. The following Social Media Toolkit translates UNFPA and WEI’s “Women and Young Persons with Disabilities: Guidelines for Providing Rights-Based and Gender-Responsive Services to Address Gender-Based Violence and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights” document into actionable social media graphics to be used in your advocacy on your social media channels. Download and share these resources with your followers.

This toolkit was developed with young people with disabilities from around the world who identified social media as an effective platform for change for their generation. We are thankful for their insights and contributions. Thank you to Disability Rights Fund for supporting the development of these materials.

Written jointly with UNFPA, Women and Young Persons with Disabilities: Guidelines for Providing Rights-Based and Gender-Responsive Services to Address Gender-Based Violence and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights provides practical and concrete guidelines for making GBV and SRHR services more inclusive and accessible to women and young persons with disabilities and for targeting interventions to meet their disability-specific needs.
