Shilpa brings over 12 years of experience in international human resource management and talent management to her roles. After spending a decade in the corporate sector, she transitioned to the nonprofit world, aligning her career more closely with her personal values. Her nonprofit journey began as a UN Volunteer with UNDP in Sierra Leone, Freetown, where she first applied her extensive skills in a new context.

Over the past decade, Shilpa has been instrumental in working alongside Founders and Executive Directors to develop operations, organizational development, and HR systems for globally distributed mission-oriented teams. She specializes in creating inclusive workplaces, shaping progressive company cultures, and guiding HR strategies for international teams. Her expertise also includes launching significant HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with diverse regulatory frameworks, and nurturing talent effectively.

As a committed feminist and an ally, Shilpa is dedicated to operationalizing feminist values of care and intersectionality. She believes in curiosity, compassion and continuous learning to keep evolving as a human being.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys learning about human psychology and social patterns of interactions, watching movies and documentaries, reading, traveling, and learning about different cultures, which reflects her holistic approach to life and work.
