Now Hiring: Program Assistant & Advocacy Advisor

We are seeking an Advocacy Advisor (or Senior Advocacy Advisor) with expertise in disability and/or gender-related human rights, experience with UN human rights and/or political bodies, and the ability to drive complex advocacy and partnership projects. This individual will initiate a new set of partnerships with women-led organizations of persons with disabilities around the world to hold States and others accountable for commitments made as part of the Generation Equality process. They will also lead WEI’s engagement with New York-based UN political bodies and support our other legal advocacy, capacity strengthening, and movement-building work.

We are also seeking a Program Assistant who is an administrative professional, a systems thinker, and has a passion for our global work at the intersection of gender and disability. This individual will support WEI’s broad portfolio of programmatic work and take the lead on developing systems to streamline the functioning of our Programs team internally and our work with external partners.

We are looking for candidates in any global location that overlaps with business hours in the Eastern Time Zone (with a slight preference for a New York City-based location or the ability to travel to New York City 2-3 times per year for the Advocacy Advisor position.) We particularly encourage persons with disabilities and others with relevant lived experience to apply!
