Thank you for celebrating Women Enabled International’s 10-year anniversary with us!
10 years ago, we had to fight just to get a seat at the table in mainstream gender equality and disability rights spaces. Stephanie and WEI opened the door for disabled feminists to enter those spaces and take our seats.
Now we need to make sure we’re opening the door even wider for the next generation.
The new WEI Stephanie Ortoleva Legal Internship is one way we’re ensuring that gender and disability advocates’ voices are centered, that their ideas and insights inform human rights agendas, and that their rights are recognized and guaranteed worldwide.
This paid summer internship will help fund a law student who demonstrates dedication to advancing human rights at the intersection of gender and disability.
The student will participate in a 10-week intensive, experiential learning opportunity to strengthen a range of advocacy skills and deepen their understanding of international human rights issues and systems.
We are so proud to carry on the legacy Stephanie started and to uphold her commitment to developing the pipeline of advocates and allies who will help our movement achieve transformative equality.
Again, many thanks for being part of our celebration, your active engagement in WEI’s work, and your investment in the future of our movement.
Join us in preserving Stephanie’s legacy by nurturing the next generation of gender and disability advocates.
Please make a gift supporting the newly established WEI Stephanie Ortoleva Legal Internship.
